During the last several months The Lake Superior Zoological Society has been working with the city's Administration to develop a contract to take over managment of the zoo. The current proposal has been negotiated between the City administration and the Lake Superior Zoological Society. It represents an opportunity for the Society to be successful and also assist the City in dealing with current and future financial struggles. The goal is to keep the Zoo open and sustainable.
